Brands Attempt to Piggyback off Red Bull’s Stratos Success

Ok, so we’ve all seen the wild success of the recent Red Bull Stratos stunt with Felix Baumgartner. Well a couple other brands recently tried to follow suit and piggyback off the success by creating their own versions of the jump.

Which one is your favorite?

Kit Kat Sends Chocolate Bar Into Space

A Kit Kat is attached to a weather balloon and is lifted into the air over 116,490 feet in Cambridgeshire, UK. Video is shared via a GoPro camera attached to the candybar; however, it gains only a little over 30,000 views. Still not bad!

Slim Jim’s ‘World’s Shortest Freefall’

Featured on American talk-show, Conan, Team Coco created a little stunt with food brand Slim Jim for the ‘World’s Shortest Freefall. Watch as the stunt man falls for a ‘record-breaking’ 4-minutes. Lets hope he gets back to land safely!

LEGO’s Stratos reenactment

A funny little short with breath-taking imagery also captured with a GoPro shows as a lego Felix is dropped from space.  Brings back the kid in everyone! The video itself has been viewed over 270,000 times on YouTube and counting. Not too bad!
