Meet Steven, a recent college graduate of San Francisco StateÂ University. Like many upcoming or recent graduates, thepressure to get a job in this economy is very high. Of course he could settle for a job unrelated to his field, but wouldn’t it be nice to land that dream job?
Resumes seem to get lost in translation when sent to a company’s Human Resource Department and phone calls never seem to get returned. That’s where guerrilla marketing comes in.
Steven came up with a very interesting guerrilla marketing campaign in order to get noticed and break through theÂ numerousÂ amount of applicants and land an interview at his dream agency, Saatchi & Saatchi LA. He decided to use Facebook’s advertising platform to run targeted advertisements to individuals at Saatchi & Saatchi. People spend over 700 billion minutes per month on Facebook and over 50% of Facebook’s 500 million active users log on daily. It is no question why Steven decided to use this platform to run the campaign. The campaign itself is very similar to the Google Adwords campaign technique where Alec Brownstein bought a total of $6 worth of Adwords that targeted top Creative Directors in NYC.
