On Memorial Day, you may have seen a giant ‘X’ in the sky if you lived in Southern California. Many were stumped as to what it was; however, true fans would recognize this symbol instantly. 20th Century Fox hired planes to fly around and make giant X-Men X’s in the sky promoting X-Men: First Class. This ambient advertising stunt caused a flock of fans to post pictures on the X-men Facebook photos page. To the typical viewer, did you know this was promoting the movie?
