Walking Dead Creates Pop-up Shop Where Customers Pay With Their Own Blood

Imagine walking into a store, finding some awesome gifts for a friend then heading to the cash register only to hear they don’t accept cash; however, they’ll gladly accept your blood.

Well that’s just what the hit tv show, The Walking Dead, did to promote their upcoming 4th season. With the help of Torke+CC and The Portuguese National Blood Bank Institute, FOX created this awesome pop-up shop to surprise their fans. The Portuguese National Blood Bank saw blood donations go up 571% compared to the previous year, and 67% of those people were first time donors. The tv show also saw a 17% increase in viewership.

This is a great example of a campaign that accomplishes several things at once, which makes it an overall winner in our book. So, would you donate blood for some cool The Walking Dead schwag?
