Chipotle, a burrito chain restaurant, recently came up with a brilliant advertising campaign called ‘The Scarecrow’. A truly wonderful short animation that pulls the heart strings whilst playing hauntingly beautiful music by Fiona Apple.
They also released a new mobile gameÂ titledÂ The Scarecrow, for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The game aims to educate and engage the public about food issues.
The video features a very depressed looking scarecrow that is disturbed by all the artificial food being produced. He comes across haunting situations of cows being milked in a cramped space and chickens being pumped full of hormones.
On his way back home from work, the scarecrow stumbles upon a fresh red pepper. He is then inspired to start cooking with freshly harvested natural ingredients. Everything seems different afterwards and it is a start of a new era.
