Have you ever wanted one of those classic hoverboards from the 1989 film “Back to the Future Par II”? Well now you can ! Or at least that’s what a company called HUVr is promising.
The flying skateboard was something only dreamt up in film but has now made it’s way into this elaborate video. A company known as HUVr has quite the elaborate website and demonstration videos that feature notable celebrities such as Tony Hawk, Moby, Terrell Owens and Dr. Emmet Brown himself.
HUVr even has an authentic-seeming website that has been created saying the project began in the  summer of 2010 and expected to be finished in late 2014.
“Our team consists of materials science, electricity [and] magnetism experts who’ve solved an important part of one of science’s mysteries: the key to antigravity,†HUVr’s website says. “The HUVr board team ultimately aims to improve the efficiency, speed and sustainability of mass transportation.â€
It leaves us wondering, why was this created? What is it actually promoting? It reminds us of a recent stunt called “Dumb Starbucks” in which a comedian, Los Feliz, opened a fake parody Starbucks store to gain buzz. It worked and got the media talking about it and a lot of buzz for his show!
