“One man. One gigantic shower. One botter of Lynx shower gel and 152 beachgoers.”
Lynx, well-known for their sex-sells advertising campaigns broke a record with their giant shower stunt. On August 13th, 2011 in Bournemouth Beach, England, the company set a world record for the most people showering together.
“The people of Bournemouth have to be applauded for getting into the spirit of the day and taking a shower together,” said Guinness World Records judge Anna Orford, in a statement.
The company set up a huge 19-feet tall shower on a beach in England to hold 152 men and women. Contrary to what the video mentions, it was not just one man. Sorry boys.
Their video on Vimeo has been viewed over 94,000 times.
“The people of Bournemouth have to be applauded for getting into the spirit of the day and taking a shower together,” commented Anna Orford, the official adjudicator for Guinness World Records, on the attempt. “Lynx now plans to take the shower on tour across European beaches and music festivals,” reports the official website of the Records.
