A great way to get a lot of buzz around your new product is to utilize local (or not so local) internet celebrities. Well that is just what the makers of the first-person shooter game, Call of Duty, did to promote their latest installment.
The game company contacted YouTube celebrity, FPSRussia to review the very latest in military technology, The Quadrocopter Machine Gun. FPSRussia has over 2.5 million subscribers and the video already has over 7 million views.
Of course this technology doesn’t actually exist, so at the end of the video he mentions that it just might be in the next Call of Duty game. What are your thoughts on this viral campaign?
